Duncan

Duncan is a timid Beast Changeling with the manner and pose of a Chatelaine due to his captivity in the manor of a Fae Lord who called himself Lord Wyndshire. Duncan was taken at an early age of eleven while at a chorus concert. His main service was in the higher regions of the manor, where he would often be at his Keepers beckoning in the form of entertainment or something of a personal butler. A brutal study in the violin, Duncan was also forced to adapt a new voice. This was attained by the Fae Lord Wyndshire buying vulture like Hobgoblins that constantly bantered in mystic voices in Duncan's quarters, who sometimes made ghastly noises come out of their throats as well as beauty. Duncan did learn that a song could tell about the most horrible of murders, treacherous of traitors, and any number of ghastly things, but with the right tone and pitch they could make people weep with joy.

Weekly runs at his Keeper's discretion to traverse the Hedge and fill a bucket with tar from a pool in the Hedge were apart of his service that none of the other Changelings of Lord Wyndshire did. Lord Wyndshire would drink three whole buckets of the rancid slime and the consequences for the spilling the bucket were severe. Knowing that his Keeper was addicted to the buckets of Hedge tar, Duncan mixed Nightcap with the buckets contents and Lord Wyndshire promptly passed out while Duncan made his escape.

Duncan has a popularity among the Spring Court members because of his violin antics and emotional performances at some of the nightclubs and bars around their district. He is still something of a coward at times, but his intelligence and intuiton on matters regarding his Court have made him other kindly members of the courts to tease or in fact blow off him 'matter-of-factly' tone. However, strength greatly intimidates him so he has a nervous reaction to many Ogres. But he has already learned that not everyone is as their looks show them to be.

Duncan grew twenty-four years in Arcadia while only three months passed on Earth. His fetch currently lives under his name, but Duncan is unwilling to investigate or even confront his fetch. Seeing it eat in his place at his families table was enough discomfort that he could bear.

I was wondering, should we start the game as a motley, or will we be introduced in game for the first time? and if we are a motley, we should figure out how we met and how we feel about each other.
Sir Cottle

That's a good point. It would help knowing that, so I'll make a note for Vhurka just in case we need to do s ome discussion here, like a motley name and background and such.
vhurka

You'll just be meeting each other for the first time.
Sir Cottle

Thanks for clearing that up, =)
vhurka

Also, where exactly did the Windwing come from? Is that the weird hedge vultures?
Sir Cottle

I probably should have clarified that point with the vultures as well as Duncan being a form of entertainment for Lord Wyndshire, among playing instruments he was also toned to perfect his voice as well as being placed in the high regions of the manor he was kept in, making the fastest way to get down and serve his Keeper would be gliding down, which is first how he first started developing his seeming after harsh abuse for being too slow in the mornings to reach the lower floors of his Keepers home.

Also
Mask: Duncan is straight and rather serious looking, though not very tall compared to many others. His only outstanding feature is his black, feathery hair which is often garnished much attention to stylers or other humans that deal with hair professionly. He dresses very appropriately for nearly every occasion, having signature ties and collar shirts at his disposal.

Mien: Underneath the Mask, Duncan's feather hair has the apparent feel and look of real feathers. His wings poke out of whatever coat he's wearing, but without it, his arms are coated with them. He molts them whenever he becomes outraged or significantly stressed, but often gives his whole body a type of shiver if he's angry or shrugging off an issue. Duncan's pale blue eyes stare, not often blinking, but often showing his distaste in a subject by staring in a cruel way. Duncan's nose is sharpened, giving the appearance of a short beak. His feet have spread out and talons protrude out of the wide toes.
